It was late summer in 2004 and Attorney John Drapp was practicing with a firm in lower Fairfield County, Connecticut. Within weeks, that firm ceased to exist due to a series of unfortunate events. Faced with the prospect of having to find new representation quickly, many of John's clients asked him to take their cases with him. The problem was, he had no idea where he was going next. John did not want to see the interests of his clients compromised though, so he agreed to take on their matters as a sole practitioner. After a couple of months as a solo, John realized there was no going back.
John spent the fall trying to convice Attorney Joe Jaumann, a lawschool classmate working in Washington, D.C., to move back to Connecticut and join him. By the end of the year, Joe was in. In January 2005, Drapp & Jaumann, LLC, was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The rest, as they say, is history.
